For many years I worked in digital media and print which has allowed me to take advantage of tools like Photoshop to discover new ways of representing my subject matter.

For the last 3 years I have been working on linocuts of urban scenes in my local area. The images are captured on my iPhone or sketched and the final print design is a composite of several images which is drawn onto the lino. A variety of marks, shapes and textures can be explored while hand carving which changes the nature of the image. This is printed onto rag paper using an etching press. It is always exciting to see the final print as the result can be quite unexpected. Due to the nature of the prints being handmade each print run has a limited edition.
