David Baker paints with acrylics and watercolours and is a photographer. His practice is experimental specializing in close cropping, macro and textural work. “Using light and close framing, I like to expose the essence and energy of the subject whether it’s urban chaos vs structure or delicate, fragile nature. I always leave something for the viewer to work out to complete the work.”

David uses a variety of materials and tools to create his artworks, Credit cards to house-paint rollers and brushes, to bricking and tiling trowels. He listens to music while he works; he says that it helps him to create movement.
